Maintaining a high level of heat treating quality in a commercial heat treating shop requires both management systems that control the processing of work from start to finish and a highly skilled work force. Our documented and certified Quality Assurance Program covers everything from order entry to final inspection and is in conformance with MIL-I-45208 and MIL-STD-45662. We are also proud of the fact that over 40 percent of our workforce has 20 or more years of experience at CST.

A wide selection of furnaces are maintained to AMS 2750 requirements for processing work to AMS-H-6875, AMS 2759, AMS 2770, MIL-S-6090 and MIL-S-12515.

Carburizing and hardening is performed in furnaces with a computerized system for both temperature and atmosphere control enabling us to carburize and harden your most critical work, tested to your specifications. This system not only monitors, but also archives all significant processing data and furnace functions.

An in-house metallurgical laboratory augments production by checking case depths, microhardness, microstructures, carbon levels, quenchant quality, salt baths, and the atmosphere control system.
