Stress Relieving Service

Stress relieving is performed at lower temperatures, typically below the "critical" temperature of the specified material, to remove residual stresses generally introduced during welding, fabrication, machining or other manufacturing processes.

Cincinnati Steel Treating provides quality stress relieving of aluminum, steel and iron from our facility located in Southwestern Ohio. Stress relieving can be performed by CST using one of our three car bottom furnaces, including processing under our protective atmosphere. We run parts weighing up to 10,000 pounds and as large as 8 ft. wide x 6 ft. tall x 17 ft. long at temperatures up to 1850°F. A wide selection of furnaces is also available for running special cycles.
