Cincinnati Steel Treating Co.

Maintaining a high level of quality in a commercial heat treating shop requires both management systems that control the processing of work from start to finish and a highly skilled work force. Our documented and certified Quality Assurance Program covers everything from order entry to final inspection and is in conformance with MIL-I-45208 and MIL-STD-45662. We are also proud of the fact that over 40 percent of our workforce have 20 or more year's experience at CST.

A wide selection of furnaces are maintained to AMS 2750 requirements for processing work to MIL-H-6875 and 6088, AMS 2759 and 2770, and MIL-S-6090 and 12515.

Carburizing and hardening is performed in furnaces with a computerized system for both temperature and atmosphere control enabling us to carburize and harden your most critical work. This system also both monitors and archives all significant processing data and furnace functions.

An in-house metallurgical laboratory augments production by checking case depths, microhardness, microstructures, carbon levels, quenchant quality, salt baths, and the atmosphere control system.
